Park-and-ride facilities (P+Rail and Bike+Rail) provide parking spaces for cars, motorbikes and bicycles close to public transport stops. They make it possible to reduce the number of vehicles in transit, by offering an attractive modal transfer to the train or bus as early as possible in the journey. They also make car-pooling easier by offering convenient, well-located meeting points and daily parking.
