Active mobility

The Guichet Mobile promotes active mobility for everyday journeys.

Active mobility includes cycling and walking. In the Nyon district, the full potential of cycling and walking is yet to be realized. In urban areas, one-third of car trips are under 3 kilometres, which corresponds to about 15 minutes by bike at an average speed of 15 km/h. Cycling also complements public transport, whether for part or all of the home-to-work journey.

Bikesharing network

The Nyon Region coordinates the bike-sharing network. The network includes 70 stations with over 400 electric bikes from the provider Voi across 16 municipalities in the region: Mies, Chavannes-de-Bogis, Coppet, Crans, Tannay, Founex, Eysins, Nyon, Grens, Trélex, Gland, Dully, Bursins, Vich, Rolle, and Mont-sur-Rolle

Download the Voi app and choose the option that suits you! The system offers various rates and passes based on your use of the bike-sharing service. For example, you can pay based on your usage time or opt for unlimited unlocking for a day, a week, or a month, with a certain number of minutes included.

3 x 15-minute rides to test the bikes

You can test the bike-sharing service for free using the code REGIONNYON, which entitles you to 3 x 15-minute rides. More than 200 monthly, weekly, and daily passes are regularly given away until fall on this page and during events at local businesses. These passes provide unlimited unlocking and free minutes during the specified period.

Cycle stations and bike parking are available at some regional transport hubs to make cycling more convenient. Together with local authorities, the Region is implementing a regional cycling network in phases. In the “Useful Links” section below, find information on bike parking.
